Bologna, June 30 –
Dear Bologna and Virtus Fans,
Since day 1 you’ve embraced me and my family with open arms. I’ve always felt we were a perfect matchmade, with my energy, fight and love for the game, and your appreciation, passion and love for that.
Being here 4 years this is all my boys know and can remember. Putting on the virtus jerseys, going to the games whether ant PalaDozza or Fiera and shooting after the games is what they live for.
Since ive arrived in Bologna l’ve given you everything I have. Each time I got the chance to put on that Virtus jersey I can honestly say it was an honor and I took extreme pride in wearing it.
The love and support you gave me and my family when I lost my father is something I can never repay you for. The endless messages and support will live with me forever. I always knew you all were special, but all of this love and support confirmed this!
We conquered so many obstacles during my time here. Having a great season being stopped by Covid. Then going undefeated in eurocup before falling short in the semi finals of our goal of getting back to the EuroLeague. Being able to prove everybody wrong and show our potential by winning the scudetto is something I will remember forever. And then in 2021 going thru so many obstacles and bad luck, But staying together until the end and winning the eurocup to get this club back to the level it belonged, the EuroLeague!
All together winning 2 super cups, 1 scudetto, and 1 eurocup is something I could never imagine when I first signed to play here in the summer of 2019. | will miss the endless messages from all of the fans no matter the wins or the losses. Being out in the city and having fans come up for pictures or autographs or even just to say hello! But most of all, I will miss hearing that loud roar running out of that tunnel.
Thank you so much to Mr. Zanetti, Luca Baraldi, Paulo Ronci, Coach Sasa Djordjevic and Coach Sergio Scariolo for giving me the opportunity to be here for these 4 years.
I’m so forever grateful for vou embracing me and my family and I will Love you all forever! Myself, my wife, and my 2 boys will forever have Virtus in our Blood! This is not a Goodbye, just simply a “see you later!” Bologna and Virtus Fans…I Love You!
