Coach Alex Mumbrú had this to say on the eve of the game in Munich: “It’s an important game against a really good team, featuring some of the best players in Europe. We’ll need to stay focused for 40 minutes because playing on the road at the SAP Garden is tough, with the home crowd really pushing them on, so it’ll be crucial to stay connected from start to finish, no matter who takes the court.”
Francesco Ferrari on the game against the Bavarians: “We’re in for a tough game, especially since away games in the EuroLeague are always difficult to handle. Right now, at the start of the season, the opponent’s level or their standing in the standings doesn’t matter much—what’s important is approaching the game the right way. It’ll be a very physical game, one we need to tackle with the desire to compete and win. The wins against Olympiacos and Roma have given us confidence, but those are already in the past; tomorrow will be a whole new story.”
