Massimo Zanetti created Segafredo Zanetti, developing the business initially in Italy, where it soon became a leader in the market for public establishments. Expansion then reached the mass consumption and large-scale retail trade, to then conquer international markets. Today Segafredo Zanetti is the leader of Espresso in Italy and worldwide with a very wide customer base in all distribution channels, from bars to restaurants, from organized catering to large-scale distribution. Segafredo Zanetti belongs to the Massimo Zanetti Beverage Group.
On 6 July 2012, the Virtus Pallacanestro Bologna company was acquired by the Virtus Pallacanestro Bologna Foundation, which was created on 8 June 2012 with a single goal: to protect and maintain a valuable sporting and cultural heritage for Bologna and its territory. The President of the Virtus Foundation is currently Daniele Fornaciari, elected on 4 April 4 2017.
