Virtus Pallacanestro Bologna S.p.A. announces that it has reached an agreement until June 30, 2026 with Ante Žižić.
Born in Split on January 4, 1997, Žižić began playing basketball in his hometown, later playing for the first time as a professional with the Zagreb jersey. In 2016, the move to Darussafaka where he played an excellent season that allowed him to declare for the NBA Draft: in 2017 he was chosen by Boston in the first round, before then moving on to Cleveland where he played for three seasons a total of 157 games in a Cavaliers jersey. After his NBA experience, Ante returned to Europe, to Maccabi Tel Aviv. In Israel he plays from 2020 to 2022 winning a championship, an Israel Cup and two Israeli League Cups. Last season he wore the Efes jersey with which he won a Turkish championship and a President’s Cup. In the last four seasons, between Maccabi and Efes, Zizic has confirmed himself as one of EuroLeague’s benchmark centers.
