It’s about time, just a few more days and the second edition of the Alfasigma tournament will begin!
In fact, it will be held on Saturday, September 17 and Sunday, September 18, at the Virtus Alfasigma home facility, the tournament reserved for the rookies category organized by the pharmaceutical company Top Sponsor of the Black Vs. Four teams will be involved, in addition to Virtus Bologna, S.G Fortitudo, International Imola and Cavriago will participate.
“I consider the Alfasigma Tournament important,” says Virtus Segafredo Bologna CEO Luca Baraldi, “because it represents a sort of handover: the rookies next year will be part of the youth teams, thus leaving the minibasket to land in the basketball of the “bigs. In addition to the sports aspect, for us it is also fundamental the aggregation that events of this kind entail, and for this reason I thank Alfasigma, because despite the stop imposed by the pandemic, it has never stopped being close to us and to our young athletes, continuing to believe in these kids and in the values that sport conveys. I would also like – concludes the virtussino CEO – to thank the teams that will participate and I hope that it will be a wonderful experience for everyone.”

– 9:30 a.m. 3rd-4th place final
– 11:15 a.m. 1st-2nd place final
Following this, there will be award ceremonies for the four participating teams.
