Cecilia Zandalasini and Olbis Futo Andrè are among the twelve summoned members of the Italian national women’s basketball team for the upcoming Eurobasket Women event, which for the Azzurre will start in Tel Aviv.
In fact, Coach Lino Lardo has confirmed their presence in the national team’s backbone: in the previous preparatory friendlies in view of the European Championship, the two bianconere women have always distinguished themselves positively on the court, dragging their teammates.
The first appointment will see Italy, included in Group B, on stage against the Czech Republic tomorrow June 15 at 2 p.m., then on June 16 against Israel at 2:30 p.m. before closing the group stage by facing Belgium on June 18 at 2:15 p.m.
Two other virtussine players will also be present at the continental tournament: Kitija Laksa, engaged with her Latvia, will have to face Spain, Greece and Montenegro in Group A, while transalpine Iliana Rupert, will face Slovenia, Great Britain and Germany.
