The Under 19 team led by Matteo Lolli came out on top in the first leg of the playoff that could give them access to the National Finals in their category. With a score of 71 to 63, against Aurora Basket Jesi, the young V Nere conquered the first challenge waiting to return to the court on Thursday, May 26 in the Marche region.
An important triumph for the Cus team led again by Matteo Lolli, who commented on the victory in the National University Championships this way: “We started again from where we finished after Covid and we are very happy because we have rebuilt a group that has already understood what the spirit of the Alma Mater and Cus Bologna is like and that the goal is obviously only one, and we brought it home. We are very happy!” The University of Bologna beats, and does so cleanly, its all-time rival, Cus Milano. It ends 94-69. A balanced game until halftime, with the red and white always ahead, then Cus Bologna takes the lead and confirms itself as the most successful University ever at the Italian level, at least in basketball. This is demonstrated by the 16 national titles and 3 successes at the European level (no Italian university has ever won an international gold except the Alma Mater).
