Coach Banchi’s words after the game against Bayern: “We are very disappointed because the game was approached with good concentration, good quality of basketball. A few minutes before the end of the second period, our foul problems with the guards caused a lot in terms of offensive choices, the fluidity of our game, and we lost a lot of our initial confidence. This is something we have to work on because this is the Euroleague. The games are very tight and we have to continue to generate the same quality of basketball that we did in the early part of the game. Congratulations to Munich who were able to use their physical size as an advantage. The seven stoppages and the numerous rebounds explain the kind of physicality they showed, especially when they reached -14 and had the chance to come back. From our side it is time to correct these mistakes in terms of confidence, team chemistry and the ability to overcome the problems that can happen during the game, such as foul problems or mistakes or injuries that cost something tonight, for example to Smith. But in a season like this, it’s something you have to learn to manage and overcome.”
