Coach Lino Lardo spoke after the final against Schio: “In this type of competition, at the end, only one team wins so it’s obvious that now there is some bitterness but we must be proud because these girls played a great Italian Cup, going beyond all limits. I thank all of them, we played with maturity and intensity. Congratulations to Schio, a team that could have put us in even more difficulty. We played all the way, it’s not a triviality but we played basketball, playing a real game. Yesterday we finished the game late, plus with daylight saving time, we slept less after playing an intense game with Venice, while Schio played an easy game at 6pm. This also counts and in the first half we weren’t as brilliant for this reason. When the score was 77, if we had taken the defensive rebound we would have put them in serious trouble. From here we start again, with many positive things and some things still to improve. It’s enough for me to see the lively and focused eyes of my girls.
