Virtus Segafredo Bologna general manager Paolo Ronci also spoke during the presentation of Will Clyburn. These are his statements during the press conference:
“We have here a very important player. Players like Will Clyburn bring you in the locker room the culture and the way of working of athletes who have won. We’ve seen that from the very first practice. Real leadership in the service of teammates and staff. Toko was a great partner in the operation, called him right away to convince him, and that’s a great sign.
My summer? It was good, when you show up with Will Clyburn at the CRIF house it means it was good. I’ve been here for six years and with Luca I’ve been working together for 11. When you work with serious people and solid properties the summer can only ever be good, beyond the things that are said and not said. We wanted to make a surprise with the announcement of the whole roster in one evening, it is proof that we were working even before. We have to have a sense of unity and family that allows us to close the gap we may have in front of us. And also in management we feel like family, thanks also to that in these years we have played so many finals and brought 6 titles.”
