After the first days of practice and the first friendly played in Ravenna, Iffe Lundberg spoke for the first time to the microphones of Virtus TV.
“I have to say that the impression after these first days is very good, we trained very well, the team is well organized and I have to say that the thing that impressed me the most is the team spirit there is, everyone takes the court happy to compete and improve every day.”
Iffe then explained his choice, “I chose Virtus because it had an interesting project and because it is an ambitious club. I really respect the coach and his philosophy of play,I love Italy and with my wife we were thinking for a while about the opportunity to move here. Also I see myself really well in this group and I think we could do really well together both in the Euroleague and in the Italian league. Euroleague? It’s the most prestigious competition in the world after the NBA so you have to give your best in every game because you play against the best European teams and each one takes the court to give 100 percent and win. What I like is that if you give your best effort on the right night anyone can beat anyone. This season in particular I think will be really interesting. When I saw the videos of the fans at the presentation in this gym I really felt the fantastic atmosphere with all those hundreds of people who rushed to greet the team, and I really wanted to be there myself who was still in the national team on that moment. Even just seeing it from the phone was great. I can’t wait to play the first home game.”
