At the end of the win against Geas, Coach Ticchi spoke in the press conference, these are the statements in the post-game: “We knew that this was a game in which Geas, especially at the beginning, would put all their heart because this could have been their last game and with heart they tried to extend the series. They did very well, approaching better than us in the beginning and we in the first quarter conceded a lot of points on offense, then we increased the defensive intensity, until only seven points scored by Geas in the third quarter. We managed in the final even if we made a few mistakes that we could have avoided, but I think the game was never in question, we are in the final where we wanted to be, I am very happy for the club, for the girls who for seven months have worked with commitment and dedication, gaining more and more awareness that we need to face the final in the best way and to try to bring to Bologna a success that could become historic. In the final we had to play with Zandalsini or Barberis as a four since Rupert had a small problem even though he still wanted to come in. It had been a long time since we had played with four small ones, maybe we could have done it better; from the mental point of view the beginning of the game did not go according to what I had asked of the girls and for a team that wants to get to the bottom this should not happen. MVP of the evening Laksa who commented on the game this way: “Today we played our game, playing in the best way even if Geas gave us several problems: now with this victory we have more time to rest and prepare ourselves in the best way for the final.
Our next opponent? It matters little who we will find in front because the best team will pass: our goal does not change regardless of who we face, we have to win.”
