Coach Giampiero Ticchi:“We knew that coming here would mean facing a very tough game, against a team that would put us in sure difficulty. I know Ballardini well and this team really reflects his character: combative, physical and never gives up so I have to congratulate Faenza. As for us, I am not at all happy with the last five minutes of the second quarter and the final minutes of the game because we stopped producing play on offense and in the last part I expected more from the younger ones because if they get on the court they have to deserve it and today they didn’t always succeed. Now we think about improving these aspects and we have to be happy with the result considering the good team we faced.”
Cecilia Zandalasini, MVP and scorer of 24 points: “I am happy with the win and the points because we were coming from a week that was not easy given also the Euroleague game played only on Wednesday. Today there was a lot of crowd, they are an energetic team so I am happy with the performance of my teammates because it could have been dangerous as a match but we were all ready, despite a lot of tiredness.
