San Giovanni Valdarno –
These are the statements of assistant coach Jordan Losi in the postgame between San Giovanni Valdarno and Virtus Segafredo Bologna: “Today the final result described a game that was hardly questioned, but kudos must be given to the girls for putting the game downhill from the start, setting the pace and playing our basketball: our goal is to go on every court and do our best, regardless of the opponent we face.
The season? There is little time left for the reckoning now: the moment that counts is near and we are constantly building and evolving. The game against Schio will be an important test that will allow us to evaluate our work and what, if anything, we still lack.”
Alessandra Orsili, author of an 8-point game, also spoke to the microphones this way: “Gap between the two teams? We don’t underestimate anyone. Today we had a chance to let those who have had fewer minutes so far play, resting the teammates who have more minutes in their legs.
Next round we’ll have Schio and obviously I’m not saying that we’ll definitely win, but we’ll do everything to stop them: we’re all focused game by game, but it’s undeniable that each of us is thinking about it because it’s an important appointment and we’re particularly keen on ousting this great opponent.”
