LBF, Round 14 | Coach Giampiero Ticchi and Kitija Laksa’s post-match interview

Crema –

At the end of the game against Parking Graf Crema, won by Virtus Segafredo Bologna 64-98, coach Giampiero Ticchi commented on his team’s performance as follows:“We knew that Crema’s basketball is aggressive and intense so I wanted the girls to be attentive from the start. They were good in the first quarter not to get demoralised despite Crema’s very intense start, and then we slowly grew in intensity and did our things better and better, taking the lead in the third quarter, playing good basketball for 40 minutes.

André? He did an excellent performance, entering the court with a lot of energy because he’s one of our best defenders and that gave us a lot: he gives us enormous enthusiasm in defence and this is then reflected in the offensive phase.
Rupert is doing well, she had a small hiccup but came back without any problems.”

Kitija Laksa, MVP of the match, also analysed the first outing in the new year, which was topped by 25 points: “It was a tough game, especially at the beginning where Crema immediately expressed great physicality and intensity: they are a great team but we knew and expected this. We started the new year with a win so I’m very happy and the goal will be to try to replicate this kind of basketball throughout the year.”
