Bologna –
These are Cheyenne Parker’s statements to Corriere dello Sport/Stadio: “For me to compete for this title is extremely important because I am in my eighth season as a professional and to be so excited to play a final makes me feel even better. I know the rivalry between our teams and how things went last year-I want to turn it around and bring this title to Bologna. I feel so much enthusiasm around us, as confirmed by the sold-out tickets, and that makes me extremely happy because that’s exactly what we need to get to take the title-I feel extremely lucky to be part of this.
The key? I think in order to win we will have to do our own thing, keep going with our flow that we have been following up to this point, both offensively and defensively, with a lot of aggression because surely the defensive aspect will make the difference. Defenses will win this series.
Schio we know is a difficult team to face, they have proven to be a very performing group both in Italy and in Europe, but we want to play our game, following what are our ideas
The Italian league is extremely competitive, everyone wants to win as is normal. I think it is exciting to watch as a spectator but also to experience as a player: the moment we have arrived testifies to that and that I think is the most beautiful and exciting thing for everyone, including us.
Bologna? It is a magnificent city that has enraptured not only me but also my family. As a mother I can afford to do so many activities together with my loved ones, always visiting new places, always trying new restaurants. I often like to simply enjoy the city.
Basketball was crucial for me when I was a child because it helped me occupy my time by allowing me not to go down bad paths: my mother accompanied me to basketball practice and to church. For this I thank her. Now that I am also a mom my day is really full, but I think I am also very lucky because I will always have special memories together with my little girl and my family: for that I will always be grateful. When I’m tired, down or just feeling down, I think about these things and find incredible strength.”
