On the eve of the game against Ragusa, valid for the LBF Italian Cup Final Four Qualifiers, these were the words of coach Pierre Vincent: “Ragusa is a team that has improved a lot compared to when we faced them in the first round, they easily won so many games. They will be a tough opponent for us, their players are very athletic, they score from three points, they have a point guard who hurt us in the first leg, they are a complete team. We have been back to practice for a couple of days, there was a need to stop especially for the players who have been and will go to the national team. After this break there will be no more time to stop, I’m thinking in particular of Zandalasini and Andrè who play so much with the national team and now have had a chance to rest. We are not ready but we will be fresh psychologically and physically. This will be a different game from the others, either you win or you’re out. From a psychological point of view it is different, we have to see how the team will react, sometimes teams do better and sometimes they do worse. Compared to what we did in the Super Cup we can expect good reactions, we have a team that thrives on emotion and these games give you emotion. I expect a good game from us, with energy and freshness.”
