These are the declarations of coach Ticchi at the end of the match against Brixia:
“We are extremely proud of this achievement. Today we strongly wanted to win this game, we succeeded, perhaps not always expressing the best basketball, but we brought home this victory, net of a few of our absences as a precautionary measure in view of our upcoming commitments.
Once we have recovered the best physical shape of all the players, it will then be our task to put on the court the best possible basketball, especially defensively, which has been one of our strong points this season, because I am sure that this team is capable of further growth.”
Iliana Rupert, tonight’s MVP, also spoke to the microphones:
“I’m very happy with today’s game because I think we ended the season in the best possible way and it allows us to be more serene and focused for the Italian Cup and the Play-offs that are to come.
The lead? The last two games against Campobasso and Sassari gave us a lot of awareness to bring this club to this important goal. Now we know it is only a small brick, but we see it as a starting point for the end of the season.”
