At the end of the game against Reyer Venezia, valid for game 1 of the LBA playoff semifinals, these were the words of coach Luca Banchi: “It was a game that lived on technical and emotional peaks, we were good at winning by finding the right plays in the final half. It is a fact that Venice is a great team, which has all the talent and potential to light up at any moment of the game, just as it is a fact that in the first 20′ we were able to express minutes of very high quality, intensity and continuity, then no longer finding the precision that had marked the first 20/23 minutes of the game. This may have contributed to give confidence to Venice, which as soon as it found its way to the basket showed that it has talent, quality and type of basketball that can put anyone in trouble. There remains the satisfaction of having found in the end of the game some references that allowed us to bring home a very valuable first game. From the defensive point of view I think it is appropriate to make assessments, we definitely need to take a step forward to curb the scoring streak of their team.”
