When we came back from Istanbul at two o’clock in the morning, thanks to the fans our sad faces turned into smiles, I know my fans by now, I don’t want to say I expected it but I know how much affection they give us every time. Seeing the smiling faces of new teammates experiencing this for the first time is something we will take with us for the continuation of the season.”
At the microphones of Nettuno Bologna Uno Achille Polonara commented on the victory with Brindisi as follows, “Let’s not forget that they won in the first leg, we must never underestimate anyone especially Brindisi, a talented team. We took the court with the idea of playing not against the last in the standings but with the idea of playing our basketball, with very good defense and a very good offense. It was a good test ahead of an important competition like Thursday’s. As for me, I try to be useful in many things when I am called upon, rebounds are an important part of the game, especially when playing good defense and to try to help the team. Tomorrow (today, ed.) will be a day dedicated to recovery while on Wednesday we should already be preparing for Asvel, a tough, physical challenge awaits us against a team that wants to say its piece.
