After the win on Pistoia’s court, coach Luca Banchi spoke in press conference: “A good game, serious, careful, from the very beginning, trying to direct the game to control Pistoia’s pace and gusts. In the first 20′ we succeeded very well, then we had an empty passage in the third period to then regain a sufficient distance. We file another double week, with two away games, two wins so positive balance, some regret remains for the Valencia game but this is our path. Tonight cynicism allowed us to keep the pitfalls at bay: now we look ahead, with the desire to gain awareness of the style with which we play to quantify the efforts we make on the field.”
One of the best performances? “Every game has its own story, Pistoia in these months has earned respect. Yesterday we came back from Valencia, changed our suitcase and came here, it’s not easy, they are professionals and great champions but under that singlet there are men, it’s not that simple. Pistoia’s season so far had us all on alert, they are a team to be considered a revelation. We limited ourselves to a serious competition, we made up for the important absence of Pajola but when we play with attention we honor our qualities. With the close commitments we have it is very important to conserve energy, not waste it.”
