Coach Scariolo spoke at the press conference after the win at PalaBigi: “A good game, hard-fought, a great atmosphere with a warm crowd, in which it’s nice to play. We thank our fans for the support they gave us, they made themselves felt. I am very happy with the win, we played the best possible match given the circumstances we are in. Everyone gave their support: good defence in general and good ball circulation. We had a couple of pauses in the team’s attack and that’s when Reggio Emilia got closer with merit, demonstrating their growth in performance and effectiveness. We finished in control however, so I would say that there is satisfaction for a game that was not going to be easy. The rebounds? Certainly they were an important factor, in the second half we controlled their offensive rebounds better, we were able to use physicality to grab rebounds that we then used to play more actions in attack. We’ll think about the Final Eight starting tomorrow: we’ll definitely come in huddled, then we’ll see.”
