Coach Luca Banchi spoke on the eve of the challenge with Varese: “We have prepared to face an opponent that has specific characteristics, different from those we are used to seeing in our league. A consistent performance, for us, is also decisive to make progress: we are at the beginning but we have already highlighted criticalities that we want to minimize and solve. Varese has built the team with the same vision as last year, they have a precise style and way of working, and they have confirmed an American coach to lead the team. They have players whose talent and characteristics will be appreciated during the season. Even in the Champions League games they have shown potential, in two competitions that moreover accelerated the level of knowledge of European basketball especially for some players who for the first time have come to our basketball or even for the first time to European basketball.
