At the end of the game against Happy Casa Brindisi, two of the protagonists of the challenge, Kyle Weems and Marco Belinelli, have been elected MVP by Eurosport and Rai Sport.
Kyle Weems to Eurosport’s microphones: “The key was controlling rebounds – against one of the best teams in the league in this regard – and running in transition. I put my own into it, but everyone stepped up tonight, and I’m really happy to have Kevin Hervey and Milos Teodosic back.”
Marco Belinelli to Rai Sport: “We definitely knew we were playing against a well-coached team that has always put us in trouble. We played a good game with some mistakes, we have to try to be more concrete. Moments of good basketball alternated with other moments of bad basketball. Let’s keep our feet on the ground and think about one game at a time. I think we need to arrive at the race ready. Tortona put us in trouble in the Supercup, we come from a -20 there, we must be ready against a prepared team. Let’s rest, forget about this one, and think about the next one. Great to see that we are full finally, and touching iron. Teodosic and Hervey are very good players that we missed.
