Pesaro, February 17 –
At the end of the quarterfinal win against Brindisi, Coach Scariolo spoke in the press conference: “We’re happy to have broken this curse against a strong, competitive and proud team. Our game plan was to defuse Perkins and Sampson had a great game. We rebounded better in the second half than we did in the first. We had very good moments and not so good moments, with some lost balls that did not allow us to close it before, we have to understand that we have players that have to find their best condition and others that have to gain experience in this kind of competitions. We are a team with a relative type of experience but that will be susceptible to improvement. Now let’s rest and think about the next opponent. Teodosic was very tired, he tried to play defense despite his limited energy, the same goes for Hervey, now that he has realized he can play, he can give his contribution in both sides of the court. We need to make our players grow and for this reason we kept some more players on the court because we needed it, but we never put at risk the final result”.
