Bologna, 13 February –
With the last games of the weekend, the week dedicated to the national teams closes for the Virtus Segafredo players, who will now have a chance to return to Casa Virtus.
For the two Italians, Cecilia Zandalasini and Olbis Andrè, it was the fourth win in a row against Switzerland, with a result of 63-79, bent only in the final after a game that Zandalasini and her teammates led for the most part. The two Italians stood out: Andre signed a 16-point performance in 26′ minutes of play, being the best on the court, while Zandalasini, in 24′ minutes of play, came close to a triple-double with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists.
There was also an excellent performance by Kitija Laksa, who won against Sweden 65-71 with Latvia: for her, 11 points and 4 rebounds in 25 minutes of play.
The transalpine national team, victorious by a large margin against Finland (46-82), rested Iliana Rupert in a game that was irrelevant for the classification purposes since France had already achieved qualification.
