At the end of the match against Basket Landes, valid for Round 7 of the EuroLeague Women regular season, these were the words of coach Vincent: “Basket Landes struggled, they are very physical, they defend aggressively. They are a young team, they have a lot of energy and I congratulate them for the win. We have to adapt to the crowd putting pressure and the referees not blowing the whistle. We make fouls when there is no need, on difficult shots, and we are not clean enough to avoid the foul. We give them easy points, and when playing a possession costs us dearly. Today we made so many mistakes, we didn’t attack where we needed to and when we needed to, especially in the first half. I had to make some girls play for so many minutes with such a high intensity, and afterwards we make mistakes because of that too. We didn’t play great basketball today. I hope Olbis can come back soon. We miss her a lot, everything she brings to the balance of the team, everything is more difficult without her. We need points from all of them, including from the bench, who did well today but did not score these points that could have made the difference. On Peterson we made choices, and even though we made some mistakes in the first half we managed to control. There are some situations at the end that hurt, she makes passes on her last basket, but still we didn’t give ourselves a chance to win this game.”
