Coach Giampiero Ticchi: “Szekszard’s physicality, combined with their intensity, made it very difficult for us. They made everything difficult for us in every situation and at the beginning we were able to play our basketball, but then they complicated our ball circulation and we were no longer able to play fluid basketball, wasting many opportunities. On offense we did too little and on defense we suffered so much from their physicality with Hebard and Goree. Now we are trying to recover and then we will analyze with a cool head. The absentees? We are not looking for excuses because we have to do the best we can with the players we have. We know we are missing important players but we must always give our best. We are novices in this competition, so we try to learn as much as we can each time, to try to grow, registering the game on the required level of the Euroleague.”

We were not able to do the things we wanted to do both offensively and defensively, and that created a lot of problems for us.
