Coach Scariolo’s words on the eve of the trip to Israel: “Maccabi is playing really well lately. They are trying and almost making it, to validate and secure a seed in the playoffs. They have great backcourt with Brown and Baldwin acting like superstars but also Dibartolomeo and Hilliard coming off the bench with great efficiency. Also one of the best small forwards in the league with Colson and a group of energetic big guys starting with Nebo, who is really dominant phisically. We better be prepared for the atmosphere that I know really well, but several of my players don’t. Let’s get there and play our best possible game with dignity and desire to compete against one of the most athletic teams in the competition.”

Lundberg: “It’s going to be a tough game for sure. I don’t know how many of our guys played in that arena, but it is one of the toughest in Europe, for sure. They always bring their fans and I think it’s fun to play there. We are aware of their qualities, especially the guards, we have to pay attention to them and follow the game plan and executely. We have to play hard, play together and have fun and try to win.”
