Virtus Segafredo Bologna announces that it has reached a one-year agreement with Chiara Consolini.
Consolini was born in Peschiera del Garda on May 20, 1988. A 182 cm guard/small forward, she made her debut in the Serie A1 championship in the 2004/05 season wearing Schio’s jersey. In 2008 she spent a year in Lucca, where she averaged 19.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 40 percent from 3-point range, and then landed in Umbertide where she stayed for two seasons. Back in Schio, she helped the team win the Supercup in 2012 by scoring 14 points, then the Italian Cup and the Scudetto. Consolini then re-signed for Umbertide in 2013, where she became team captain, and from 2015 to this day she has worn the Ragusa jersey, again as captain. A star in the Azzurri jersey since 2010, Consolini has 124 games to her credit with the Italian national 3×3 team with which she participated in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
