Presentation day in Casa Virtus Alfasigma, the head coach of Virtus Segafredo women’s team made his first statements to the club’s official microphones:
“The first time in Italy allowed me to discover a country I did not know, I arrived without knowing the language, I knew how to pronounce two words, pizza and buongiorno. Now I am coming back to Italy to lead Virtus Segafredo Bologna, an important reality of which I feel honored to be part of, I want to help the team take one more step in this incredible growth. Titles are missing and I, like all coaches, want to win and I am here to help the club take this extra step.”
Motivation and desire to bring new records to Virtus Segafredo: “Playing in Bologna, in a Paladozza sold out in every order of seats is not a pressure but more a motivation. Playing in such an environment and adding records to the history of Virtus Bologna must be a strong motivation, not only for the girls but for the whole team.”
The first greeting to the fans was inevitable, in which the new Virtus head coach wanted to emphasize their importance: “To the fans I say come and cheer us on. We need this push to win together and add a women’s title to Virtus Segafredo Bologna’s palmares.”
