Bologna –
Statements from Will Clyburn, MVP of Game 2, to DAZN microphones: “I’m too old to be beaten like this (laughs) that’s for sure. It’s nice, obviously our opponents played a great game today, and like I said, you live for the playoffs. Great atmosphere, great game and great competition. We weren’t perfect today, but every match is tough. It’s about who makes the best adjustments. Hopefully we can make more and slow them down a little more.”
Morgan’s words to DAZN microphones after the match: “We played with energy. We knew they would come out and fight for 40′. I think the key was that we stuck together, through ups and downs. They made an attempt to get back in the game, but we stuck together, we closed the game, and that’s what we have to do in the playoffs. A win is a win. I’m just trying to play my role, obviously trying to carry it forward in the first and second half. We knew we had to give more help and I was able to give a little spark on offense. But I think defensively we won the game. Obviously we have many things to fix, we have a tough game ahead of us in Venice. They are a very good team and they will struggle because their backs are against the wall. It will be a battle, hopefully we can win, we have three tries to pass the round.”
