Coach Banchi’s statements after the game against Red Star: “Red Star was more continuous. They were effective from the start, they created advantages with the creativity of their outside players and their athleticism. The game was tight, then at 61 tied there was an 11-0 run by them that was very difficult for us to recover from. We struggled to control the tempo. We were prepared to play a different kind of game. But their talent made them control the game.
We had to have a much more consistent defense to limit their creativity. Our opponents had a very good night, exploiting the potential of Nedovic, Teodosic and the other guards. We have to think about how to recover our defensive identity, more aggressiveness, the one that allowed us to have played a certain type of tournament.
Teodosic? He played the way he knows, the basketball that everyone loves and knows very well in Bologna. He activated the whole offensive arsenal of the team.
