At the end of the last practice before the game against Basket Landes these were the words of coach Pierre Vincent: “We want to close this part of the season well and we want to give our best to qualify. It will be a tough game, Basket Landes is an athletic and fast team, tough under the basket and aggressive. To win we will have to control transitions and rebounds, after help on 1-on-1s because they don’t shoot much from three. We have to limit their easy points, we struggle to find those points, we are more dangerous on the perimeter but there is less effectiveness in rebounding on offense and counterattacks. We shoot few free throws compared to other teams, sometimes it is related to the referees however it is also due to our characteristics. Landes has very powerful and physical guards and wings as well as long ones who struggle under the iron. We will have to try to limit them.”
