We are All One Team!

Bologna –

It was a great event that took place yesterday, Tuesday, January 23, in the Porelli Gymnasium on the occasion of the second session of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague One Team social project, in collaboration with Open Group. Guests of the day, as in the first session, were unaccompanied foreign minors and minors at risk of deviance.

Thanks to the support of coaches and some athletes from Virtus Bologna’s youth teams, the meeting was an excellent tool to promote the values of unity and respect, once again marking the importance of teamwork. The theme of the session was the development of communication among the participants.

The various activities carried out alternated between exercises to develop game skills and group discussion phases to reflect and apply sports teachings in everyday life. The proposed games also captured the interest in the stands of local fans and media who watched the project with enthusiasm, taking advantage of the occasion for brief interviews with Awudu Abass and Daniel Hackett, the latter an Ambassador of the project and fresh off a renewal that will tie him to the Virtussina robe until 2026.

Players from Virtus Segafredo Bologna’s first team accompanied the meeting throughout its duration, participating with passion and attention and also taking time for signatures, photos and some trivia. So this occasion, too, turned out to be an excellent day in the name of community, offering basketball as a springboard to stimulate teamwork and fun.

Everything is ready for the One Team Games that will take place during the week of January 30-February 2 and will see the participation of the boys who participated in the first two sessions. A day, therefore, under the banner of the One Team project on Feb. 2 on the occasion of the big match with Partizan scheduled at the Virtus Segafredo Arena on Friday, Feb. 2, at 8:30 p.m.
