At the end of the last practice before the game against Villeneuve d’Ascq these were the words of coach Pierre Vincent: “Villeneuve d’Ascq is a very athletic and aggressive team, we should be really tough to be able to win this game which is very important for us. We are playing for qualification to the EuroLeague Women playoffs, we are behind Polkowice by one win but with a favorable basket difference, same thing for Avenida. The support of the fans will be important to win the game. We have to react after the loss against Ragusa, but this will be a different game. Villeneuve d’Ascq is much more aggressive and we have to find solutions, we controlled their strengths well in the first leg under the basket and especially Burke, who is a 1vs1 player, but they had managed to score from long distance, which they usually don’t do with the same accuracy. We will have to be focused.”
