A workshop sponsored by Lega Basket Serie A in collaboration with Sportradar AG, the world’s leading agency for monitoring international betting markets to prevent and combat match-fixing, was held on Tuesday, Oct. 10, at the Porelli Gymnasium.
Lawyer Marcello Presilla, Sportradar AG’s head of Integrity for Italy, presented the Integrity Education Workshop, sponsored by the LBA and dedicated to all clubs, to players, technical staff and management of the men’s first team.
Numerous topics were dedicated from combating match fixing to strengthening mechanisms to protect the integrity of the sport through the full and direct involvement of its members. Educating, training and preventing are the bases for knowing and knowing how to analyze all the aspects related to a world like sports betting that has had a great growth in recent years and is fundamental for its proper management and to avoid the risks related to its use.
