After the last practice before the first European trip to Gyor, these are the words of coach Vincent: “We had a good game against Polkowice, but it’s only one game, we have to keep going. The Gyor team is different, very strong under the basket, they have a really different game. It will be important to defend under the basket and defend pick and rolls. Gyor lost to Lille by one point after an overtime without Diamond Miller, a WNBA star, who just arrived. They have a strengthened team now, who will play their first Euroleague home game and it will be a challenge for us. We are focused and hope to win. We have to figure out how to play under the basket, Anigwe is a phenomenon under the iron and we have to control her. It is not so much on the screens that she scores, but by struggling under the iron. We don’t have a very tough long to control her but we will evaluate who to line up on her, we will work on pick and roll plays, rebounding and shooting from three.”
