Bologna, July 13th –
Virtus Pallacanestro Bologna S.p.A. announces that it has reached an agreement with Ognjen Dobric until 2025.
A 200cm forward, Dobric was born in Tenin on October 27th, 1994. He began his career in the youth sector of Red Star, then moved to the first team in 2013 with the FMP Meridian Belgrade’s jersey. From the 2016/2017 season until the one that just ended, Dobric wore the Red Star’s jersey, increasing his statistical figures year by year and becoming an iconic player for the red and white side of Belgrade. Last season he averaged 10 points both in the league and in the Euroleague: against Virtus he had of his best Euroleague performances of the season, scoring 20 points.
His palmares counts 6 Serbian championships, 4 Serbian Cups, 4 Adriatic Leagues and 1 Adriatic League Supercup, as well as two medals with the Serbian national team, a bronze medal at the under-20 European Championship and a silver medal at the under-19 World Championship. At the individual level he is a two-time MVP of the Serbian Championship Finals and once MVP of the Adriatic League Finals.
