Virtus Segafredo Bologna head coach Sergio Scariolo: “Of course, it is a very valuable win, on the road, on an extremely difficult floor against a very, very strong opponent. We are especially happy for our fans who followed the team with really huge representation. I have to thank them a lot because last week, they got a quite big disappointment. We played great basketball during 20+ minutes and then we let our opponent come back and we ended up losing. So it’s good for them to have enjoyed this win tonight. I think that, definitely, Olimpia [Milan]’s scores, quarter by quarter, might probably explain why we ended up winning. We let them score 23 points in the first [quarter] and 36 in the following three quarters. Our defense was pretty good, not during the final 4-5 minutes of the first quarter, obviously. They are a great team and were missing players, you have to recognize that and be honest. They have, of course, a very deep roster. I think these two teams will be able to play even more fluid basketball, even when there will always be defensive games, tough games, pretty intense games. But they will grow, they work well in practice and have good professionals, they have talent. I expect them to play better and better throughout the season.”
