Coach Scariolo – “We did a good job, controlling the game. There were some difficult moments, but we were good at containing their comeback. I would like to underline Shengelia’s great work on Dubljevic. We passed the ball well and had good contributions from everyone. We were always ahead in the score throughout the game, but I never felt like the game was won. They are a very strong team that fights, especially for this fantastic crowd. We are happy for our fans who have come this far. We are satisfied, but the job is not done. We played a very good game but we haven’t done anything yet. It’s going to be a final, there’s no home court advantage – although we’re happy to play in front of our public – it’s going to be a dogfight, there are no favorites. We will have to be totally inside the game.
It’s clear that after the Coppa Italia we made a decisive move, but you’re never where you want to be. There is always room for improvement and growth. But I think we’re finding a certain squareness, as well as team spirit. We must try to be able to continue until the end of the season.”
