Virtus Segafredo Bologna women’s team coach Lino Lardo spoke on the eve of the first game of the playoff quarterfinals against Costa Masnaga: “The most important and hot phase of the championship begins, we’ve worked hard to get here. In these quarterfinals we meet a team that beat us in the championship a few days ago and that, in my opinion, is one of the surprises of the league along with Lucca. In that game we had a few absences but they still put us in difficulty. They play good basketball, with young and interesting players. Tomorrow we’ll be playing on a difficult court and concentration must be very high from the start: we want to bring home the passage of the turn. We have an important hurdle ahead of us but we have to think of these quarterfinals as a game with two 40′ halves. We are focused on the first of these two halves: the feeling is that the girls are ready and focused to bring home an important result.”
