Bologna –
Virtus Segafredo Bologna women’s team captain, Elisabetta Tassinari, was interviewed on Radio Nettuno Bologna Uno: “In these days, we managed to take away the bitterness of the lost final and we are becoming aware of the good things we did in order to look ahead. This year Schio obviously remains the team to beat and the standings show it, but we had the proof that there are many teams that can have their say: we came close, considering all the aspects on and off the court and considering that our story began only three years ago.”
“All teams have problems during the season but we from the beginning have always had difficulties: however, we have never let our guard down and have continued to work even through difficult moments. This is a solid group and that now will be very important to finish the season in the best possible way. Last week Sarah Sagerer also arrived and in my opinion she did very well because she found herself immediately ready to play the Italian Cup, with three games in three days. She integrated well and in a short time: she’s a great girl and she immediately made herself available in terms of desire and attitude. We are on the right track and I think she can help us a lot.”
“Last year we played a very good final season. From there we got more confidence and more experience, which in certain games like maybe a final is very useful. We are aware that we can do something good: compared to last season the team has changed a lot but we are a bit more ready at the experience level to get as high as possible. All the more reason we really hope that, even after the Coppa Italia we played, in addition to the loyal fans there can be a large presence of public at the Segafredo Arena because I think it can be of help to us on the court but also a strong signal for our reality.”
