At the end of the derby win, Coach Lardo spoke in press conference: “We’re very happy, we were without Turner and Hines Allen and we got an unexpected win against Faenza, that just a few days ago played a good game against Lucca. We won it defensively, overcoming the gap under the basket, but what I liked was that after Schio we showed once again that we don’t give up in difficult situations. We are at the fifth game after four very difficult away games and finally we are back to playing at home, we have two more difficult away games to go, these are two important points that make us move the ranking and give confidence to all the girls. Today we saw that whoever takes the field, produces and does only the good of the team. Today part of us was addressed to what is happening in Ukraine, these are sad days, I hope and believe that sport can be a tool that can give a little lightheartedness and to reiterate that we are against the war. Our thoughts are with the people involved and we are close to them”.
