Virtus Pallacanestro Bologna and its President Massimo Zanetti express their deepest condolences for the passing of Giorgio Armani.
Giorgio Armani was a generous, brilliant, genuine person who was rightly protective of his unique prerogatives in the sector that made him great, namely the world of fashion, in which he was an absolute protagonist, indeed a giant.
On the sporting front, his Olimpia team, like Virtus, suffered, but he brought it back, with indomitable pride, to where the Scarpette Rosse deserve to be, at the top of Italy and among the big names in Europe. Ours was a journey that could be described as parallel.
His moral stature speaks for itself. Basketball will never stop thanking him, and we will never forget him.
