Coach Banchi’s words on the eve of the challenge with Valencia: “Valencia is a very physical team, capable of producing numbers that today make it the second best defense in the EuroLeague in terms of points allowed to opponents. So we will have an intense game ahead of us, characterized by the unknown factor of having to gather the team only one day before such an important commitment. It will be our task to find rhythm, confidence and intensity, against an opponent that has very athletic and versatile quintets, characteristics of a team so far able to guarantee a very continuous performance.”
Ante Zizic’s pre-game remarks: “We are expecting a big game tomorrow, we have the advantage of playing it at home despite the fact that we haven’t had much time to train. We have only had one training session all together but we will still have to follow our game plan, playing hard from the beginning. Valencia is a good team, they are playing well this season; we will definitely have to block their transition and avoid conceding easy baskets.”
