Bologna –
Virtus Segafredo Bologna is preparing for its fans to experience yet another exciting season. A few days before the first official engagement, the 2022 Supercup scheduled in Brescia, the virtussino club has unveiled the new match kits for both the upcoming championship and Euroleague challenges. The tradition of colors and simplicity of design, along with an innovative graphic touch and gold details for the Cup game set, are meant to best express the history and identity of one of Italy’s most titled clubs.
For league matches, the new ‘Home’ is black with a V-neck with red, black and white line borders, a color combination also present on the arms. On the chest, on the right, in white, is printed the Macron Hero, on the left, heart side, is the Virtus Segafredo Bologna crest. On the side of the jersey is a white band inside which, tone on tone, are inserted with pixelated effect Vs of various sizes. The black shorts have an upper border with a red, white and black striped band and on the sides there is a repetition of the vertical band with Vs inside in various sizes and in pixelated graphics.
The ‘Away’ version is white with a collar and arms with red and black lines. On the chest, in black, the Macron Hero along with the club crest. On the side of the jersey, as in the home version, there is a vertical band, in this case black, inside which, tone on tone, are printed a series of Vs of different sizes and pixelated graphics. Completing the kit are white shorts with a black, white and red striped upper border and a black side band that echoes the same pattern on the jersey. Also included in the gameset for the championship is a pre-match warm-up jersey that is black with, on the shoulders, two red horizontal stripes with a larger white one in the middle. The jersey features all-over, tone-on-tone graphics that reproduce a series of Vs of different thicknesses with a pixelated effect.
As for the jerseys that the Bologna club will wear in the Euroleague and which will see the black Vs make their home debut on Oct. 7 against AS Monaco, the ‘Home’ version is black crew-neck with a white border and fine golden stripe, the same color combination that we find on the arms and on the edges of the white side band. The outer back neck features the tricolor flag, while the Virtus logo and Macron Hero are printed on the right chest, one below the other. As with the championship kit, the jersey is embellished with a white vertical band on the side with inside, tone on tone, Vs of various sizes with a pixelated effect. The black shorts have the upper edge with a white band with a golden horizontal stripe inside, and on the sides the vertical band with golden borders and with Vs inside in various sizes is repeated.
The ‘Away’ kit is white and re-proposes the same layout and graphic details as the home version with the difference that the crew neck is black with a golden stripe, as are the arms and the black band on the side with pixelated effect Vs inside. The shorts are white with black side band with gold piping. The warm-up jersey is black crew-neck with gold trim, a color also present on the shoulders and in a wide vertical band on the side.
The new jerseys go on sale starting today and are available, along with all the items in the collection made by Macron for Virtus Segafredo Bologna, at the Macron Sports Hubs in Bologna, at all authorized retail outlets and in the special section dedicated to the Black Vs on the website macron.com.
