Bologna –
For the second year in a row Virtus Segafredo Bologna men’s team started the season with reduced rosters, having as many as 5 players committed to the FIBA World Cup 2023 just as it happened at the beginning of last season with the European Championships.
For this reason, however, the HCL coaching staff was able to count on 5 boys all coming from the HCL youth sector: Lucio Martini, Giovanni Faldini, Matteo Boggian, Matteo Baiocchi and Matteo Accorsi have been part of Segafredo’s roster since the day of the gathering and took part in the pre-season friendlies. Now it’s time for the five HCL boys to return to the gym with their respective teams: Faldini and Boggian will be involved with the under-19 team as well as Baiocchi and Accorsi, staples for the under-17 team as well.
