In front of almost 8000 spectators Virtus Segafredo Bologna experienced another Euroleague night as a protagonist, beating Red Star after a match controlled from start to finish and moreover overturning the -9 of the first leg.
One of the keys to the victory, also emphasized in the press conference by coach Sergio Scariolo, were the assists: the 28 assists of the night represent for Segafredo the new season record of assists in Euroleague, a record that was 26 assists in the game with Fenerbahce. Of the 28 assists, 9 came from Milos Teodosic: the 44 bianconero thus became Virtus’ best assistman in the modern Euroleague, that is, the one born in 2000, with 115 assists, surpassing Ginobili stopped at 110. Another star of the evening was certainly Toko Shengelia: 15 points for the Georgian, who thus surpassed 2,500 points scored in his Euroleague career.
