SARAH SAGERER NEW PLAYER FOR VIRTUS SEGAFREDO BOLOGNA

Virtus Segafredo Bologna announces to have reached an agreement with Sarah Sagerer.

A 191cm forward, Sarah was born in Schörfling, Austria on February 8, 1996.
She attends The Rock High School in Gainesville, Florida in her first year as a senior, finishing the 2013/2014 season with a 14.4 point average and 10.2 rebounds. In the following year through 2019, she attended Stetson University with whom she won her first conference title in 2016/2017, later being named to the conference’s first team as “Defensive Player of the Year,” finishing the season first in total stops, total rebounds and defensive rebounds. In the following seasons of college, she continues to impress especially from a defensive standpoint, even though the 15 point average scored in the last two years at Stetson University also certifies her offensive effectiveness (45% from long distance). In the last two seasons he plays in the Polish championship: at Energa Torun in Polonio, with a 16.6 point average and 7.2 rebounds and this season at Sosnowiec with a 14.1 point average and 6 rebounds.
With the Austrian national team, Sagerer participates in youth tournaments, before joining the Austria 3×3 selection.
